Joey Novick, Esq. is the former Executive Director for the New Jersey Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, and an entertainment law attorney, with a strong background in mediation. He has trained trial attorneys and mediators on the benefits of improvisation for the New Jersey State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the New Jersey Association for Justice.

As an attorney, he is licensed in New Jersey, is a graduate of Seton Hall School of Law, and trained in mediation at Harvard's Program on Negotiation.

He has provided workshops on a wide range of legal issues for ArtPride New Jersey, Dance New Jersey, and many non-profit arts organizations around the Garden State. His article "Arts Law Tool Box: Top Areas of Legal Concerns for Arts Non-Profit Organizations" was recently featured both on the ArtPride New Jersey website and the American Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts blog.

Joey Novick has presented workshops to the New Jersey League of Municipalities, Colorado Municipal League, Connecticut Conference Of Municipalities, Kentucky League Of Cities, Maine Municipal Association, Massachusetts Municipal Association, Nevada League Of Cities, New Hampshire Municipal Association, New Mexico Municipal League, New York State Conference Of Mayors and Municipal Officials, Rhode Island League Of Cities and Towns, West Virginia Municipal League, The National League Of Cities, and The National Association Of County Officials.

The New York Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Hunterdon County Bar Association and the Middlesex County Bar Association, the Inn of the Court of Mercer County, and the Inn of the Court of Essex County have all utilized Joey Novick as a program presenter.

He serves on the Executive Board of the Entertainment & Sports Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and previously served on their Pro Bono Committee. Also, he serves on the Executive Committee for the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts section of the American Bar Association.
